The fruit fly puncture the fruits skin to lay their eggs. Once hatched, the larvae feed on the fruit flesh, damaging it and leaving it susceptible to fungal infections and rotting.

After testing various lures available in the market, Eastern Orchards have discovered the exceptional efficacy of Koppert's Fruitfly lures. Field observation revealed a remarkable capture rate—one lure had trapped over 50 fruitfies on a single sticky card in less than a week- an unprecedented number compared to other solutions they had tried.
